Natural Wonders
Costa Rica is one of the most valued environmental destinations.
Approximately 25% of the country has protected forests and reserves and there are more than 100 different protected areas to visit.

Volcanoes
There are more than 121 volcanic formations in Costa Rica, and seven of them are active.
Poas Volcano is the most popular national park and has the second widest crater in the world while Arenal is famous for its conical shape and is one of the ten most active volcanoes in the world.

Rainforest
The Costa Rican government created 20 national parks, 8 biological reserves and a variety of other protected areas (wildlife refuges) to protect its abundant wildlife and natural treasures.
While rainforests are the most common in the country, cloud forests cover the higher slopes of volcanoes and mountains and fascinate visitors with their mysterious fogs and thick growth of bromeliads and mosses. The dry tropical forests receive less rain and are less biologically diverse but house a stunning collection of flowers and trees.
Rainforests are important for many reasons including:
- They are home to millions of wildlife
- They produce living-giving oxygen for the planet.
- They help against global warming by removing carbón dioxide from the atmostphere

Beaches
Costa Rica has nearly 300 different beaches along its beautiful Pacific and Caribbean coastlines.
Each beach has its distinct personality; the sand can vary in color from white, black, or brown. Some beaches are full of shells; others are soft with light white sand. Some are fantastic for swimming, some for snorkeling, and others are better for surfing.
Your team can spend time on the beach training, snorkeling, or just relaxing and soaking up the sun.
